Seriously people.

I'm pretty sure we're all guilty of it, but I never realized how bad it hurt until now.

Long story short, here's what happened.

I occasionally use gaiaonline. I have a picture in my sig pic, and I later found myself getting pic dropped (a thread someone makes about someone's picture). The girl who made the thread had good intentions, but really, it was practically an invitation for people to insult me. She titled the thread "She's perfect", and inside proceeded to dare people to "even try to find a flaw".

Naturally, everyone flamed me and had to pick out every little thing wrong with my face.

Fish lips, brick nose, boringly average, ugly, chicken neck. Yeah, I pretty much heard it all.

I'm not begging for compliments here or looking for a pity party, but it's not like I asked for that girl to make a thread about my face. I'm just making a point. It seems like, the majority of people can never see past peoples' flaws.

Seriously... Why can't we just appreciate peoples appearances? How sad is it that people sink so low as to insult people on things THEY CANNOT CHANGE? I'm guilty, too, but I'm pretty sure I'll never say anything demeaning about a person's looks every again ._.
